Why buy new when your old items can be re-upholstered to suit your new room scheme? It is fun to buy bargain items from antique/junk shops and then see them transformed by using a new fabric and upholstery. It also gives scope to have a bit more fun than standard shop bought items by adding different pipings or contrast fabrics. Granny’s chair often gets a new look.
